This Privacy Policy describes how Mejengapp (“App”, “we”, “us”, “our”), developed and operated by an independent solo developer, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the iOS or Android application.

By using Mejengapp, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Name, username, or profile name
• Email address (if you create an account or contact support)
• Profile image (optional)
• Match information you enter (teams, results, participation)
• Any other data you choose to submit

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Device type, model, OS version
• App version, app interactions, UI events
• Crash logs, performance data, error reports
• IP address, coarse location derived from IP (for security and analytics)

1.3 Health & Fitness Data

Mejengapp integrates with Google Health Connect (Android) and Apple HealthKit (iOS) to provide match performance features.

A. Data Types Accessed

We request read access to the following specific data types:

• Steps (Count)
• Distance (Walking/Running)
• Energy Burned (Active Calories)
• Heart Rate (Beats per minute)
• Exercise Sessions (Workouts)

B. Purpose of Data Access

We use this data exclusively to:

• Calculate and display your physical performance during a specific soccer match you participate in.
• Generate a "Match Summary" card that you can view and save to your profile.

C. Google Health Connect "Limited Use" Disclosure

The use of information received from Health Connect will adhere to the Health Connect Permissions Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

• No Other Use: We do not use Health Connect data for any purpose other than providing the "Match Stats" feature.
• No Transfer: We do not transfer Health Connect data to third parties, except as required for the App's core functionality (e.g., secure cloud storage for your own history) or as required by law.
• No Sale: We do not sell your Health Connect data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

D. Apple HealthKit Disclosure

We adhere to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for HealthKit. Your health data is not used for marketing, advertising, or use-based data mining.

1.4 Location Data (optional)

The App may collect approximate or precise location if you enable features such as:

• Finding nearby matches
• Setting match location

Location is not used for ads.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate core App features (creating matches, joining matches, statistics)
• To calculate and display match performance metrics (steps, distance, calories, HR)
• To associate workouts with soccer matches (if enabled)
• To maintain and improve App performance
• To personalize user experience
• To respond to support inquiries
• To ensure security and prevent misuse

Strict Usage Limitation for Health Data:

We do NOT use Health Connect or HealthKit data for:

• Advertising, marketing, or targeting users.
• Developing, improving, or training generalized AI/ML models.
• Credit scoring or insurance underwriting.

3. Data Storage & Retention

• Health data is processed locally and not stored on our servers unless explicitly required for match stats.
• Match-related stats (e.g., final distance, steps, avg HR) may be stored in your account so they can sync across devices.
• Crash logs and diagnostics are stored temporarily to improve stability.

Data is retained only as long as necessary for App functionality or legal requirements. You may request deletion at any time.

4. In-App Data Deletion

Mejengapp includes a built-in feature that allows you to delete all your stored data directly inside the App.

To delete your data:

• Open the App
• Go to Settings
• Select Delete Account / Delete All Data

This action permanently removes:

• Your account
• Profile information
• Match history
• Stored performance metrics

If additional server processing is required, the deletion request will be completed within a reasonable period of time.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not sell, license, or share your Health Connect or HealthKit data with third parties for any reason.

• Service providers who help operate the App (hosting, analytics, crash reporting)
• Law enforcement if required by applicable law

Service providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and may not use your information for unrelated purposes.

6. Advertising

The App may use advertising networks such as Google AdMob.

Ad networks may collect:

• Device identifiers
• IP address
• Approximate location
• Interaction with ads

Ad networks do NOT receive:

• Health data
• Workout data
• Heart rate or sensitive information

You may opt out of personalized ads through your device settings (Android and iOS).

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

If the App connects to web-based services, cookies or local storage may be used for:

• Authentication
• Preferences
• Analytics
• Security

Cookies do not store Health Data.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect your data, including:

• Encrypted network communication (HTTPS)
• Controlled server access
• Secure storage practices

No system is perfectly secure, but we strive to protect your information.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than where you reside. We ensure appropriate protections are in place for such transfers.

10. Your Rights

You may have rights depending on your jurisdiction:

Ask for a copy of your personal data.

Delete data directly in the App or request deletion via email.

Request updates or corrections to inaccurate data.

You may revoke Healthkit or Health Connect permissions at any time through system settings.

Your device may provide tracking/advertising opt-out controls.

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

12. Links to Other Sites

The App may contain links to external websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will appear on this page and will include a revised date.
